About the Event
Market Intelligence Day – 12th November 2026
TRADS Members are invited to attend a market insight day in Edinburgh, providing an opportunity to better understand the Scottish commercial property market and the key differences between operating across the Scottish and English jurisdictions.
How does Scottish property law differ from English law? What specific considerations should occupier advisers be aware of when acting north of the border? How is the Edinburgh office market performing, and what trends are currently shaping occupier demand? How does Edinburgh compare with Glasgow and other major UK office markets?
The day will include a session with a Scottish real estate lawyer, who will provide an overview of the principal differences between Scottish and English property law, together with an opportunity for members to raise questions and discuss practical issues encountered when advising occupier clients. We also expect to receive a market update from a local Edinburgh agency practice, offering insight into current market conditions, notable transactions and future developments, together with an update on the Glasgow office market. The programme is also likely to include visits to a selection of notable office buildings and development schemes within the city.
There will be networking opportunities throughout the day.
Travel arrangements are currently being finalised and will be confirmed in due course. The event is expected to commence at 11.00am on Thursday 12 November. Committee members are intending to stay in Edinburgh following the day's events and return to London on Friday morning. Members may wish to make similar arrangements should they wish to extend the networking opportunities into the evening.
The full agenda for the day will be issued to Members in due course.
